Vallauris Ceramic Wall Vase by Roger Capron

1950s. “Vase Muale” by famed French ceramicist and designer Roger Capron (1922 - 2006). The wall mounted floral vase has a polychrome glaze with a face decoration. Signed “Capron Vallauris” to the underside. In great vintage condition with no chips or visible scratches to frontside. 

Roger Capron (1922–2006) was a celebrated French ceramicist and key figure in the post-WWII revival of French ceramics.  He founded Atelier Capron, an influential manufactory in Vallauris, known for its stylish, whimsical ceramics and tables, often decorated with stylized motifs like suns and branches. His career was marked by innovation, with Capron creating both artistic works and integrating his creations into architectural and interior design projects.
